Disaster - A Very White Day After Christmas

So far there has been no snow and anyone who has a job is thankful for this, but mother nature made up for all the snow with the mother of all snowfalls on December 26. The weather forecast predicted between sixteen and twenty inches of snow and people lined up at the stores buying up everything they could as it would appear to be impossible to leave their house during the snowstorm. When the day came mother nature did not disappoint as the snow was up to two feet! The mayor declared a state of emergency which has not happened in over three years.
Even watching the snow from inside was a sight to see as it would not appear to ever stop falling. Fire trucks came buy to dig out fire hydrants that were completely covered in snow. This snow stopped anyone from even trying to accomplish anything if it involves the outdoors so your bets bet is to stay inside with a cup of hot cocoa and be prepared to stay a while. Stores are closed so stocking up on food was a very wise and my sympathy goes out to all the people who were not able to stock up on food such as myself.
This ridiculous snowfall made it hard for even kinds to enjoy as children in the younger ages would have snow up to their necks i they so much as stepped outside. Others had their doors blocked by snow and saw it impossible to even try to leave. Anyone attempting to commute back to their respective homes should be prepared to not see home for a while as travel was very difficult. Cars would be submerged completely in snow and people found it hard to eve find their cars as all you can see is huge heaps of snow. People shoveling had to be careful to not hit their car and not mistake it for just snow.
If you like snow I bet you wont anymore after seeing such a downfall of snow. For people who do not like snow just hope that this never happens again. This is definitely a snow to go down in history.

Sports - Another loss for the Giants

After a surprising and devastating loss to the eagles, the Giants play off against the Packers hoping their luck can change, but not much changes. For the Giants, this win meant going to the playoffs and for the packers this is one out of the two wins they need for the playoffs. Before the first quarter even ends the Giants are losing 14 - 0 and the pain of all the Giants fans are heard loud and clear at the stadium. However, Packers fans hope the Green Bay can keep up the good work.
In the second quarter the giants return the favor by scoring two touchdowns tying it up at 14 -14. Giants fans begin to regain hope in their assuming that this game will now go a different way, but the Packers yet again score a touchdown and they are now leading 21 - 14. This game looks like it will be a close one and this win means a lot to both teams so they cannot put in less than 100 percent effort. Chants are heard all over the stadium as the fans try to give as much support as they can to their favorite team.
In the third quarter the Packers score a field goal and now the Giants trail by 10. In return the Giants also score a field goal and now they only trail by 7. Victory is in the grasp of the Packers, but the Giants are hoping to seize control of it. Looking to extend their lead the Packers score another touchdown and they are now winning by 14 points. The chances for the Giants winning this game are slowly dwindling. At the end of the third quarter the score is 31 - 17 for the Packers. The Packers fans are up on their feet as they cheer for the Packers thinking that this quarter has sealed the fate of the Giants.
Its the third quarter and Giants fans cannot see a way to come back from such a large difference of 14 points. It would seem that th Packers are still raring to go because they score another two touchdowns making the score 45 - 17. With four interceptions by Eli Manning you cannot help, but think that this loss was justified. On the Packer's side players and fans alike are now looking forward to their next game and if the Packers play like this at their next game the playoffs are not too far off for them.

Christmas Dinner Gone Wrong

Christmas morning gift wraps and ribbons are tossed aside and people cry for joy when they finds  that they got exactly what they wanted. The aroma of freshly baked cookies and other baked goods fill your nose as you awake. This is the picture of a perfect Christmas, but it was anything but that for my family.
The day starts off okay and everyone is having a great time, but when it is near dinner time we begin to panic. My sister opens the freezer to find that there is no turkey. I decided to go look for it, but it seemed to be nowhere. Suddenly the peace in our house was broken and it seemed nothing would go right. When you have people come from different states just to have dinner you would at least like to know where it is. As time passes the places I look become more and more peculiar. I checked the pantry, my cabana, and the basement, but the turkey was nowhere to be found. My brother tried to make jokes to lighten the mood, but no one was falling for it.
It was 6:00 and by now everyone had given up hope and already made up their minds to celebrate Christmas in their rooms, but my sister and I were determined to find this turkey. It even came to the point where we thought it just got up and left. We checked the receipt at least four times thinking that maybe we didn't buy a turkey, but my sister assured me that we did. Could this turkey be a figment of our imagination? At this point I was willing to believe anything just as long as it explains how we can lose an entire turkey.
Just when we were ready to give up I came up with one final place to check. I went to the cabinet where we store plastic bags and there it was. How could someone forget to unpack a turkey? Well that question was saves for later because right now it had to be cooked.
Stories about burning a Christmas dinner are very common, but nothing compares to losing a Christmas dinner. The dinner may have started late, but at least it started and this is definitely one Christmas that no one will ever forget.

Movie Critique - Due Date

If you are looking for a movie filled with laughs and ridiculous stunts then due date is the movie for you. One man has to travel across the country to make it in time for the birth of his first child, but is forced to accept help from a person with more problems than you can count. In the time that he spends with this man he has to survive a car crash and escape from from prison. Most of his problems are related to setbacks caused by this mentally insane man that includes his problem of randomly falling asleep and use of marijuana.
As if it was not enough for the man to have to travel with this crazy guy he learns that his child could belong to one of his wifes past partners which stirs up many emotion in him that some people can take as a very sad event, but your spirits get immediately lifted by even more crazy stunts and situations that you do not see every day. They go through many interesting places like the grand canyon and the border between the united states and mexico which they somehow mistook for a gas station (texico). Most jokes are not very hard to understand so its funny for all ages however it is probably not appropriate for younger viewers due to some mature content. If you can understand all of the jokes then you should definitely watch this movie because it has a lot of funny situations and always keeps you wondering what could possibly go wrong now? Even though it seems like the duo hit rock bottom they fall even lower and you can't help, but cry with laughter. Though thoughts of suicide can't seem to get out of this soon to be fathers head he finds the good in Ethan and they develop a friendship close to the end of the movie.
Not only is this movie fun to watch, but it has plot twists too that can either warm your heart or feel anger towards one of the other characters. This baby caused Peter to go through a lot of pain, but there are good aspects as well.
If you like to laugh and like crazy stints as well then due date is definitely a movie that you would not want to miss.

Movie Critique - Inception

Inception recieved a 9.0 out of 10 on average, but a movie this well written deserves a perfect 10. This is definitely the best movie from Christopher Nolan and toppping this will not be an easy task. Most people are attracted to movies by the actors, but plots are what interest me most and this plot has depth, romance, action and everything in between.
This movie has a final gross of $292,511,473 which is more than Paranormal Activity 2 and The Social Network combined. It grabs you with mind blowing actions scenes and keeps you glued to your seat with bone chilling suspense. All characters play a major part ion the movie and failure to remeber a characters role can really confuse you later. The story is about delving into the subconcious of peoples minds to extract valuable information. When the fate of a power company is at stake they turn to Cobb, played by Leonardo Decaprio, the master of this art, but they are not aware of his crippling setback.
Cobb, along with the help of Saito (played by Ken Watanabe) and many other characters have to perform the art of inception to delve into the mind of the potential owner of a power company that can become too powerful. To pull this off they need a chemist, an architect, and people whore are deft in the art of thievery. Most of the movie takes place in a world made completely by their imagination, but surprisingly represents the real world. In this movie they dive into the deepest parts of someones mind, but learn something about themselves as well.
The movie Inception is a very powerful film with action packed scenes and bone chilling suspense that can keep you at the edge of your seat. It will keep you guessing till the very end. If you feel that you can devote two hours to really watching a movie then this is definitely a good movie to watch.
